Trinity Towers, Inc.
(a not-for-profit corporation sponsored by Holy Trinity Episcopal
Church of Melbourne) is a 3 building apartment complex in
historic downtown Melbourne. We are located at 650 & 700 E.
Strawbridge Avenue and 615 E. New Haven Avenue. We have been meeting
the housing needs of very low and low income, active senior citizens
since 1982. All facilities are especially designed to meet the physical
and social needs of the Senior Citizen and contribute to the health,
security, happiness and usefulness in longer living. Several units
have been customized for those requiring features of an altered
unit. Residents
can enjoy security and fellowship without sacrificing privacy
and independence in a convenient central location. Transportation
is available at our complex through Space Coast Area Transit (SCAT).
The downtown area hosts many festivals and events throughout the
year, many of which are held in the vicinity of Front Street Park.
Melbourne Senior Center on Melbourne Avenue is also nearby.
The
features of our buildings include a congregate dining room (south
building), attractive lobby and reception areas, card and community
rooms, elevators, emergency call systems in each apartment, washer/dryer
on each floor, garbage chute on each floor, monitored smoke and
fire detection systems, our own van for medical appointments,
and 24 hour security desks. A staff is provided for the maintenance
of our buildings and grounds. Small pets are allowed.
Apartment
rentals include utilities, wall-to-wall carpeting, window treatment,
thermostatically controlled wall unit air/heat system, two-burner
electric stove and refrigerator, television cable and support
in the bathing area.
Apartment
availability depends on the number of vacancies during a year,
Currently, the waiting period is about 1 to 3 months for a studio,
with separate kitchen & dressing area, and 10 to 14 months
for a one bedroom. We do not have a residency requirement, but
due to the long waiting period we welcome potential residents
to obtain an application during office hours: Monday through Friday
8:00 AM until 4:00 PM.
Parking
is "free" at Trinity Towers and a resident's car is
required to be parked in their assigned space. Our parking space
is at a premium; therefore only one spot per car owner will be
assigned.
Residents
are responsible for their own housekeeping and meals, and furnishing
their own apartment. There is no nursing care or assisted living
provided by our buildings, however we do have a Social Service
Worker as part of our staff. Banks, restaurants, churches, the
public library, hospitals, and stores are nearby.
